LUPUS seed rollers 4.5 – 6.2 m
The Lupus seed rollers, available in 4.5m / 5.0m and 6.2m widths, are three-piece drawn rollers on cast iron with diameters of Ø 500, 530 or 600 mm. It is the simplest trailed seed roller Lupus is easy to operate, using only one hydraulic cylinder. To unfold it, simply unbolt the pin from the bar that locks the frame segments. Once unlocked, the side sections automatically unfold when the machine is reversed. Then, using the hydraulic cylinder, all sections of the roller are lowered.
What are seed rollers used for?
Seed rollers are designed to compact the topsoil immediately after ploughing, before sowing or after sowing, creating a tubular soil structure. Cambridge rings with a diameter of Ø 500, 530 or 600 mm
Cambridge rollers consist of alternating castings of smooth rings and flat toothed discs, with the toothed discs being slightly larger in diameter. The toothed discs are mounted on the hub projections of the smooth rings and can rotate independently of them. This difference in rotational speed between the rings and the discs allows the roller to self-clean any soil that could stick to it. As a result, this design ensures continuous, efficient operation of the roller without the need for frequent cleaning. The Cambridge rings effectively compact and crush the soil, improving soil structure.
