Tandem Crosskill front roller for pre-sowing soil cultivation.
Tandem Crosskill front cultivation roller
On lighter soils, we can actually prepare the soil for sowing only with a cultivator. The situation is completely different on heavy soils, where more tillage is required. This translates into additional costs and requires more time. This problem can be solved with a cultivating unit that is mounted on the front of the tractor. Thanks to this solution, optimum cultivation and sowing can be carried out in a single pass.
The Crosskill front tandem roller of our production with a width of 3.0 m is mounted on the front axle of the tractor. The machine consists of two rows of Crosskill rings with a diameter of 510 mm. The Crosskill cast iron rings with a diameter of 510 mm are arranged alternately in tandem to prevent clogging. A scraper bar is not needed in this case. This type of roller is most often used to crush soil clods and its weight of 1300 kg without a spear and 1500 kg with a spear, which results in proper levelling of the field.
The whole frame is solidly made of thick-walled profiles, which can be easily recognised by the curves of the profiles (the bigger the curve, the thicker the wall). A tube for the instruction manual and Cat 2 hitching pins are also included as standard, as is a flat bar to align all springs. The ability of the roller to adapt to a variety of soil types can be achieved through the use of beans on the turret and hitch plates. The soil after cultivation with this roller is very well compacted and perfectly prepared for seeding. It is also possible to reduce the number of passes on the field by aggregating, for example, our roller on the front Tuz and the aggregate with a seed drill on the rear Tuz.
Another advantage is the versatility of the frame of our rollers, as we can use as many as 16 different rollers on the same frame, which creates as many as 16 different machine configurations that we can adapt to the individual needs of our farmers and the variety of land they own.
