Tractor-mounted swather. Successor to the Fortschritt ?
A swathing header, which is mounted on the front or rear hitch, increases the possibility of using the tractor and eliminates the need to buy a swathing machine.
Currently, most farmers use chemicals to dry the crop. Even today, however, many farmers use a self-propelled swather to carry out a two-phase seed harvest. All indications are that the use of glyphosate will be completely banned within a few years and that the method of harvesting with a swather will be back in favour.
We offer a 7-metre-long harvesting device that can be aggregated with the tractor via the front or rear three-point linkage. This is a cheaper alternative to buying a swather.
How does a front/rear hitch swather work?
The heder is attached to the front or rear trunk depending on the tractor equipment. The minimum required weight of a tractor that will work with a 7-metre-long heder is 5000 kg. The weight of the swather is 2000 kg. The PTO is responsible for the drive of the scythe and the collecting belt, the speed of the movement of the blades and belt being dependent on the engine speed.
The mounted heder, thanks to the weight conveyor belts, allows the swath to be formed from the left side of the tractor. The width of the mowed roll is 150 cm. The minimum mowing height is 7 cm.
The hitching springs and the two skids are a simple and reliable solution for utilising the full width of the header on uneven fields.
The speed of the hoes, the extension and lift can be adjusted by means of three hydraulic cylinders.
Optionally, the heder can be equipped with a transport trolley.
The mounted swathing header is ideal for mowing phacelia, millet, caraway, buckwheat, rape, leguminous plants or seed grasses, among others.
