The basis of the LUPUS Heavy Tine Harrow is a frame structure made of high-quality steel, exclusively hard, confirmed by numerous quality certificates and approvals. Most components of the machine use thick-walled profiles with a wall thickness of 6 and 8 mm, and sheets with a thickness of 12/15 mm.

The working elements, i.e., harrow sections, are made of 60×12 flat bar, where the number of tines per section is 20 pcs. The weight of the harrow section is 90kg. The company focuses primarily on quality and orders German-made tines proven on the domestic market, possessing increased durability. The connector between the frame and the sections are chains with a breaking strength exceeding 5.3 tons.

Folding and unfolding of the machine is fully hydraulic using cylinders, and two throttle-check valves serve for smooth folding and unfolding. The working depth is set mechanically using turnbuckles or in a “floating” way using pins.

In places where high friction and surface loads occur, maintenance-free sliding bushings made of iglidur G are used. It is a special material that is resistant to dirt and edge loads, but also has a low coefficient of friction and effectively dampens vibrations.

Bearings used in machines are from market-leading companies such as SKF, German FAG, or Japanese Nachi. Standard parts like bolts, washers, nuts are galvanized and mostly in strength class 8.8. The paint coating of appropriate thickness is applied to previously thoroughly cleaned and shot-blasted steel.
